Dr. Jeff Buchalter is a Board-Certified Specialist in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine with added Specialty Certification as an Independent Medical Examiner. He has academic appointments as an Associate Professor with the University of Central Florida College of Medicines Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency Training program and is an Associate Clinical Professor with the Florida State University College of Medicine.
Dr. Buchalter has expertise in the performance of Independent Medical Examinations, Medical-Legal Case reviews, and Independent Second Legal Opinions related to Motor Vehicle Accident injuries, Workers’ Compensation claims, and other injuries in need of a determination of causation, permanency, and treatment options. As an Expert Medical Advisor for the State of Florida’s Worker’s Compensation Division, he takes part in resolving complex worker’s compensation cases.
Over the years, Dr. Buchalter has been honored as a Top Physician in America by the American Registry of Outstanding Professionals and received multiple Patients’ Choice Awards, Compassionate Doctor Recognition awards, and has been recognized by the Who’s Who of Outstanding Professionals. He has also been honored as a Life Time Member of the Florida Society of Interventional Pain Physicians for his contributions to that Society.

Expertise
Dr. Buchalter is a Fellow of the International Academy of Independent Medical Evaluators, a Diplomat of the National board of Medical examiners, and a Certified Independent Medical examiner by the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners. Additionally, he is on the Expert Medical Advisory panel for the State of Florida’s workers compensation division.
Dr. Buchalter graduated Suma Cum Laude from the University of Central Florida in 1983 and received his medical degree from the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa, Florida in 1987. He then went on to complete his internship and residency in Anesthesiology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Dr. Buchalter also completed his Fellowship subspecialty training in Pain Medicine at the University of Texas and MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas in 1991.
